It's near the end of the month. Time to look back at my goals and time to set some new ones.
December feels like a big month, and I guess it is. It's always a very busy time with the holidays and the end of the school semester for both girls. There's rehearsals, concerts, volunteering, final exams, parties, shopping, wrapping. The list goes on and on. This year, we're adding in a trip to Florida for the Christmas holiday.
In the past, I would have looked at all of that, thrown my hands up in the air and said "I'll start over again on New Year's Day" with this whole weight loss thing. Not this time. This is my life and NO EXCUSES.
Ok, so let's start with the November goals:
Not bad! Not bad at all. NaNoWriMo, btw, is National Novel Writing Month. I signed up to write 50K words in 30 days on my book. I've won it once before. This year, I started out strong the first 4 or so days. Then, the bottom fell out. Focused on so many other things. I even ordered a Winner T-Shirt to keep me motivated. Now what do I do? Honestly, I feel pretty guilty and disappointed with myself that I didn't make this goal. But, I feel good about the other things I accomplished this month. That checklist shows I didn't waste my time entirely.
Blue dots are something WW gives us when we stay within 3 points below or 7 points above our daily points goal. I actually fell below that goal once. I tend to use my weekly points in bulk over the weekends, so I don't focus too much on them lately. For me, it's tracking everyday that's the key to success.
I lost 12. 8 pounds this month, so there's that! :)
Ok, so for this month, I already have one major goal: TRACK EVERY DAY through Dec. 31. With a Disney vacation and trip to my folks' house, it will be easy to fall into complacency. If I can do this, I think I can hit my other goals!
Here's what I got for December goals:
That's the gift I'm giving myself!
I'm nervous at what the next 32 days brings, but I'm ready to face it. And, I'm ready to end 2017 with a bang!
Stay tuned for updates!
