Been waaay too long since I've posted. The insanity of the holidays, end of the school semester for both girls and going away on vacation just totally overwhelmed me. And, I sort of put myself on a computer detox over the holiday vacation, with the exception of posting a few pics of our trip to family and friends. I wanted to make the most of the time I had with my whole family while at Disney and in Florida.
So, how did things work out for my trip? Did I stay focused? Did I stay on the Weight Watchers plan?
Mostly :) And that is good enough!
I went down to Disney World with a plan and I mostly stuck to it! Did I enjoy some splurges there? Just a couple and they were planned. After I got to my parents' house, it was a little harder. Why? I'm not exactly sure. We were all exhausted, we went out a lot (which really isn't an excuse because, hello, all we do is eat out at Disney). I had a few more indulgences toward the end of my vacation. Ice cream was a big one. And oh, it was tasty!
The proof of the plan was in the scale on vacation. Yes, I brought it with me for our trip. My first weigh in was while we were still in Disney but only after the first full day. I was down 6.4! On our last day of vacation, I had my second weigh-in at my mom's house. Up 5.6. Talk about roller coaster!
But, in the end, that mean I had a NET LOSS on vacation of .8 pounds. A LOSS on vacation. During Christmas. That is crazy, y'all!
For the month of December, I lost total of 5 pounds.
For 2017, I lost 52.4 pounds!!! For the first time in forever, I looked back on New Year's Eve and didn't feel depressed about wasted chances and time. I took control and started changing my life.
Now that 2018 is here, I can't tell you how excited I am for what lies ahead! There are new goals to set. New challenges to overcome. New lows on the scale to hit.
People are starting to really notice the changes in me - both physically and emotionally.

Tomorrow I will post the monthly challenge. This month, I'm focusing on new recipes. It's a new year, so I figured it was time to try out some new things in the kitchen. I want to keep things interesting along the way with my food choices.
