Today I kick off my 100 Days of Why. The idea comes from a series of posts over on the WW app I use. Users post daily reasons why they started their weight loss journey or why they're sticking to it even when the day (or week or whatever) totally sucks.
In the countless other times I've been on the weight loss bandwagon, I lost sight as to why I'm doing it. You'd think that being fat was enough of a reason. Ha, no. It turns out that's enough for me. I'm hoping this challenge and these reasons will anchor me as I hit those days where my give a damn gives me the finger.
So, for the next 100 days, I'm focusing on the meaning behind my being and doing.
And here comes day one!
Hell yeah, I'm biased, but how cool is this crew? Back in August, we took our first trip to Chicago. My oldest daughter, an art major at Ball State University (chirp chirp!), had the Art Institute on her bucket list. I convinced them to pose for this photo in front of the painting filmed in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" (one of her favorite movies - and mine, too!)
My family drives me crazy sometimes, but I can't imagine life without them. And I don't want them to have to experience life without me anytime soon. So...that's a damn good reason and worthy of #1 on my list.
There ya have it! I'll be posting something new each day with this challenge. Want to join in on the fun? I don't care if you're losing weight or have another goal in mind. Everyone's welcome! Use #100daysofwhy and tag me on social media. You can find me on: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram!
Would love to experience your meaning for being!
See ya tomorow!
